Afterschool Programs

  • Youth Development Program

Beyond the Bell Branch (BTB) Youth Development Program is a provider of comprehensive after school program services, comprised of three major components (Academic Assistance, Recreation and Enrichment).  Each Youth Development Program provides a unique, wholesome experience for students at participating elementary school sites.  It provides an exciting after school enrichment program in a safe, well-supervised environment that engages and encourages students to achieve their greatest potential. Students must be signed out daily by an adult of 18 years or older.

  • Youth Services

Since the early 1900’s, Youth Services has provided a safe place for students during the critical hours after school at no cost to families.  Historically, the program has provided supervision of organized games and activities in a recreational setting for those students who drop-in to the program.  The Beyond the Bell – Youth Services program is a permissive program.  Students sign-in and leave the program by their own volition.

Restorative Justice

The District adopted the School Climate Bill of Rights in May 2013 and committed to implementing Restorative Justice practices in all schools by 2020. Restorative Justice emphasizes community building and commits to restoring relationships. Restorative practices promote and strengthen positive school culture. Moreover, pro-social relationships also improve within the school community.
